Location: Zoom Conference Room
Event Objectives
As we approach the end of 2022, we will be assessing the many trends that we have seen this year for both Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands (BVI) investment funds including (i) the huge increase in the number of investment funds investing in Web 3.0 technology and infrastructure, (ii) the continuing growth of investment funds in the digital asset space generally, (iii) the continuing growth of hybrid funds and multi-strategy funds utilizing the SPC structure, (iv) the competition for the domicile of investment funds from mid-shore jurisdictions such as Hong Kong and Singapore to the traditional dominance of offshore jurisdictions such as Cayman Islands and the BVI as preferred jurisdictions, (v) regulatory and compliance developments for investment funds in the Cayman Islands and the BVI, and (vi) the impact of the collapse of crypto exchange, FTX. Will any of these trends continue into 2023? If so, which ones and how will they impact offshore investment funds in the Cayman Islands and the BVI?
Loeb Smith Attorneys would like to invite you to join us for this webinar, which will be in Mandarin and English. The panelists will discuss these current key investment fund trends in Cayman and the BVI and their potential impact for 2023.
